Integration Guide: Hostaway
How to integrate Hostaway with Truvi
IMPORTANT: If you need to re-authenticate an existing connection, see below.
- In your Truvi dashboard, navigate to Settings > Integrations
- Scroll the list to find Hostaway and click Connect

- Check the box "I have read and agree to Truvi’s terms and conditions" and click "Accept terms"

- Configure the set-up
- Check the box Exclude AirBnb bookings if applicable
- Check the box Exclude Vrbo bookings if applicable

- In a new tab, login to your Hostaway account and locate your:
- AccountID: Settings > Account Details > AccountID

- API Key: Settings > Hostaway API > Create
- Name the API key appropriately for your reference
- Select Truvi from the dropdown for the Partner field


- Click Create
- AccountID: Settings > Account Details > AccountID
- Now copy the Account ID and the API Key into the corresponding fields in your Truvi dashboard and click Connect

Things to Consider
- We push back the verification URL and verification status as custom fields attached to the booking in the Hostaway dashboard. Using these fields, hosts can setup an automation using triggers within Hostaway. In this way, hosts can themselves send guests their verification link, if they wish. However, to avoid duplicate communications, the relevant emails and SMS would need to be disabled in Truvi.
Re-authentication
If you are already connected to Hostaway and only need to re-authenticate, follow these steps
- Settings > Integration
- Click on the blue pencil icon next to the Hostaway connection

- Click Edit integration
- Now follow the steps from Step 3 of this guide above
