Screening Plus

A more comprehensive screening than the basic option, the Screening Plus performs a complete set of checks of the guest’s online presence. The results are reflected in the Booking Report.

How does it work?

The screening is run as soon as a booking is confirmed and the guest details are submitted.

Comprehensive checks are performed, including details like VPN usage, markers for spam domain registrations, and confirmation of matching timezones. It also checks the guest against our internal watchlist. The guest is then assigned a score which will either confirm their booking or flag it for review.

In the booking report, the status will reflect this as follow:

Status Meaning
Approved The guest’s submitted details have passed the screening or been manually passed by the guest services team after review.
In Review The guest’s submitted details have been raised to the guest services team to review manually and may require further action from the guest to become approved.
Pending The guest has not yet attempted this screening service.
Rejected The guest’s submitted details have been matched to the watchlist or rejected by a guest services agent.

Terms & Conditions

The terms set out here govern the Screening Plus Service (“Screening” or “the Service”) provided by Truvi Technologies Ltd (“Truvi”) to Hosts. These terms may be amended, modified, or updated from time to time at Truvi’s sole discretion. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised terms on Truvi’s Platforms. It is the Host’s responsibility to review these terms periodically to stay informed of any updates and the Host’s continued use of the Service shall be deemed acceptance of any updated terms.

  1. HOW IT WORKS

1.1. When using Truvi’s Platform or API, Hosts can apply the subscribed Service to any qualifying Booking. Additionally, that Booking must be pulled through to the same Platform or API.

1.2. Screening is a Service that requires Guest interaction via the Guest journey.

  2. WHAT IT IS

2.1. Screening is an automated verification process that provides Hosts with more detailed information about their Guests. Details about Host’s Guests that are extracted from the steps within the completed Guest journey are then used to build a report that will be placed in the Host’s dashboard.

2.2. The following Guest details are required to fulfill this Service and are used to complete the below verifications:

    2.2.1. Guest Information:

    2.2.1.1. Full Name.

2.2.1.2. Watchlist Check: Flagged for potential risk against Truvi’s internal Watchlist.

    2.2.2. Contact Information:

2.2.2.1. Email Verification: Checks age of email and association with online accounts (g. Netflix, Google, Facebook).

2.2.2.2. Valid Phone Number: Confirms deliverability and SIM type (disposable vs. contract).

    2.2.3. Guest’s Online Presence:

    2.2.3.1. VPN usage;

2.2.3.2. Markers for spam domain registrations; and

    2.2.3.3. Matching time zones.

    This list is not exhaustive.

  3. STATUS AND FEES

3.1. Following the completion of Screening, the Host will be provided with a status instantly or once reviewed by Admin. The status can be:

    3.1.1. Approved;

    3.1.2. In Review

    3.1.3. Pending; or

    3.1.4. Rejected

3.2. The Fee chargeable per Booking for Screening shall be outlined on Truvi’s Platform and/or the Host’s Order Form and may form part of a fee for a package of Truvi services.

3.3. The Host will be charged for a completed Screening only at the end of the month in which the status is given regardless of cancellation of the Booking. A completed Screening means that the relevant Guest and subsequently the Booking has been assigned either an “Approved”, “In Review”, or “Rejected” status.

  4. HOST OBLIGATIONS

4.1. The Host shall undertake the duty to introduce and prominently display the details of the Screening Service to Guests in appropriate locations, including by reference to Truvi’s Privacy Policy. These locations may include the property listing itself or the Host’s official website.

  5. LIMITATIONS

5.1. Screening is an optional upgraded Service for all Bookings.

5.2. If none of the Screening Services provided by Truvi are completed, other services that the Host is subscribed to may no longer be applied to the Booking.

5.3. Truvi bears no liability to the Host for any Booking that has not received an “Approved” status. Truvi shall not be held liable for any damage resulting from errors or omissions in information, instructions, or scripts provided by the Host in connection with the Service. Truvi assumes no responsibility for actions taken at the Host’s discretion.
