Sex Offender Check

Sex Offender Check compares your guest’s details with the US National Sex Offender Registry. Only the lead guest is checked. 

What we check

We check your guest’s name and date of birth against the registry. If there’s a match, our guest services team reviews it before giving a result.

In the state of Arizona, this check is required by law for all vacation rental guests.

What your guest needs to do

Truvi sends your guest a link by email or text. They enter their name and date of birth, and the check runs straight away.

To make sure your guest expects the link, add our suggested wording to your listing and booking confirmation email.

What the results mean

The result appears in the booking report.

• Pending: your guest hasn’t entered their details yet.
• In Review: your guest’s details matched the registry, and our guest services team is confirming the match.
• Approved: there was no match, or our team cleared the guest after review.
• Rejected: our team confirmed the match after review.

If your guest matches the registry, we’ll contact you directly. If you don’t want to host a Rejected guest, cancel the booking in your PMS, booking site or the channel they booked on. Bookings can’t be cancelled in Truvi.
