How to see if a guest is verified

This article outlines how a Host knows if a guest has been verified in the Superhog platform.

Status


In the Superhog platform, we use Progress and Status on all bookings to show you the completed/uncompleted steps and overall results for each guest.

Progress

Here is an overview of the different statuses for guests:

Not Started -  indicates that your guest hasn't started the verification process yet.

Action Required - indicates that your guest has verification steps that are still incomplete.

You can check the progress by hovering over the "?" (question mark) icon to view which steps are incomplete.

Below are the different steps that the tooltip will indicate as incomplete:


Step Meaning
Screening not started Guest hasn’t completed the Intelligent Guest Screening steps by providing their details. 
Gov ID not started ID and Selfie Capture process has not been initiated or is pending due to an invalid Government ID (passport, driving license etc.) or selfie.
Payment validated step not started The Deposit or Waiver has not been paid yet.
Agreement not started Guest has not signed and agreed to the Guest Agreement.
Criminal background not started Sex Offender Check has not been completed or requires additional verification.

Status

Here is an overview of the different statuses for guests:

Approved -  indicates that your guest has been successfully verified and no further action is needed.

Not Approved - indicates that your guest either hasn't started the verification process yet or some steps are still incomplete.

Rejected - indicates that your guest has not passed our Intelligent Guest Screening checks.

 

*For Rejected bookings, we advise cancelling the reservation and contacting our Guest Services team at hello@superhog.com for a Know Your Guest (KYG) report to cancel on the booking platform without penalty.

However, the decision to host the guest at your property ultimately remains yours, and it will be at your own risk.
